Fashion Fix: Saran Wrap Your Pedicure

Now that it’s not summer anymore, we often forget to wax, shave, and primp those parts of our body that we flaunt during the warmer months. Certainly treating our toenails to a nice pedicure falls under the category, but we have an excuse! Who has time to let their feet dry after two coats of paint, when there is a good chance it’s just going to smear on your socks and ruin the whole look? Unlike June-August, flip-flops in the colder months are not a viable option, so what’s a girl to do to keep her pedi color on without smearing? Luckily, that’s why god invented a little item called saran wrap.

According to TheGloss‘ editor-in-chief Lilit Marcus, a neat sparlour trick involves your pedicurist putting on the polish, then a top-coat of a spray like RapidDry. Finally, you wrap your toes up in clear saran wrap to decrease the chances of smudging and put your socks and shoes on for your trek home. It’s not foolproof, and your feet may start to sweat while being basted like a chicken, but at least you won’t have to spend an extra 30 minutes awkwardly making small talk with the woman who cleans your feet.

The Final Nail In The Proverbial ‘Iced’ Coffin: Girls Busching Girls

No, nope. We already decided if this the trend of bros icing bros had to have a female equivalent, it would be Hos Misting Hos (conceptual h/t to the brilliant Andrea Rosen). The fact that Salon deemed the site Girls Busching Girls worthy enough for an entire article just shows how deep into the summer news cycle slump we already are.

Though we would have liked to be acknowledged with coming up with the idea of girls having to drink disgusting fratty beers as the female version of this game before anyone else did. Still…this is not a strike against misogny. This perpetuating some stupid college drinking game where the point is having to ingest the grossest alcohol imaginable. Lets move on, shall we?

The videos show the huge crowd of paparazzi waiting for Hilary to emerge from her makeover. How crazy! I don’t know how Hilary even manages to walk with all of those flashes going off!!

Yay!!! New photos of Hilary Duff! Hilary was seen entering the Ken Paves salon yesterday with a huge bottle of water… and a good thing she did, because Hilary was in the salon for 5 hours!!

Do you think Hilary got the make-over in preparation for her guest star role on Gossip Girl? The new season has been filming this week in New York, already at at least episode 3. Since Hilary joins the cast at episode 5, I expect we’ll see her head to New York any day now!

Hilary was also seen at the gym earlier in the day.

Hilary Duff had a busy day yesterday! Aside from her little shopping trip, Hilary was spotted stopping for an iced-coffee.

In the same day, Hilary also went to her pilates class and had her nails done at the nail salon!!

The video below corresponds with Hilary Duff’s day shopping at Barneys then her visit to the salon.

Though it’s hard to tell since Hilary still has her hair up, you can tell that she’s had her hair done – the dye job is better and it’s perfectly styled into the ponytail.

In other news NBC is set to lock down its fall schedule on May 19th, which could bring us the announcement of Hilary Duff’s new show!

Wow! Hilary really glammed up! Hilary Duff strutted her stuff as she left the Byron and Tracey hair salon in Hollywood after getting her hair cut and colored.

Hilary Duff will be in Las Vegas tonight for the ‘Power of Love’ fundraiser and the final performance by Siegfried & Roy. So excited for the photos!!
