A couple of casting calls for upcoming episode 6.15 points to flashbacks involving a young Richard and Ellis. The casting call for the episode seeks an actor to play “Young Richard” and should be male, African-American, mid to late 20s, and must look like actor James Pickens Jr. The “Young Ellis” must be female, caucasian, mid to late 20s, and must look like actress Kate Burton.

During the 2009 Summer Press Tour, ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson spoke briefly about Grey’s Anatomy, stating that the show is “evolving” and that Shonda Rhimes “hit her stride” at the end of season five. So far, McPherson and the rest of the ABC suits seem to be “happy” with what they’ve seen of season six, which for us can mean just about anything. But hopefully good things!

During his latest Ask Ausiello column, Michael Ausiello revealed some details about the season five finale that most of us probably didn’t know. The 100th episode of Grey’s Anatomy is only in a few days, which means the long-awaited Meredith/Derek wedding is almost here. Or is it? Well, we’ll find out on Thursday night. In the meantime, the whole of Seattle Grace is in preparations for the big day. Everyone’s got the dresses, the flowers are ready, and Izzie has proven herself to be the world’s best wedding planner, ever.
