There’s more sneak peeks coming at you for this week’s episode, “Valentine’s Day Massacre.” In the first one of the bunch, we learn that Sloan is headed back into town and grandpa Mark wants to welcome her back with some baby stuff all prepared. Callie is impressed by this new and improved Mark Sloan, responsible father and grandfather, but an unexpected blonde throws a wrench in that perception. Oh hey, we know that blonde…

Next up, we’ve got Daughter Sloan admitting to Callie that she’s planning to give up the baby for adoption, something that Sloan doesn’t want Mark to know. This obviously puts Callie in an uncomfortable situation.

Life as Chief of Surgery is not as easy as McDreamy imagined, it seems. I think someone needs to give him a stress ball.

And finally, Teddy and Owen have a heart-to-heart about their … situation.

Thankfully, the next all-new episode of Grey’s Anatomy isn’t all roofs collapsing and potentially traumatizing surgeries. Love will be brewing. Like for instance: Bailey and the new hot anesthesiologist. He’s all, “Please go out with me.” And Bailey’s all, “No.” And Callie and Arizona then partake in a giggly, high school-esque rendition of, “OH EM GEE! You have to go out with him!” And Bailey’s like, “Oh hell no to the teen speak girl talk.” But it’s all sorts of cute and amusing to watch. Something tells me Bailey will end up saying yes to that date…

It’s Valentine’s Day on Grey’s Anatomy! But things are not all chocolates and candy hearts at Seattle Grace. A restaurant roof collapses on its diners and the doctors must rush to save lives. Meanwhile, Lexie goes blonde! And I’m not sure Mark likes the change all that much, gauging by his initial reaction. But perhaps it will grow on him? Also, what did they just do to that patient? Did they attach his arm to his leg or something?

In the next all-new episode of Grey’s Anatomy, the doctors at Seattle Grace must rush to save lives when the roof of a restaurant collapses on its employees and diners during Valentine’s Day. Meanwhile, Derek continues to deal with life as the new chief, while Mark and Callie join forces to help Sloan with her motherhood decisions.

Here goes a slideshow of photos from the upcoming episode, which includes Lexie and her brand-new hair color. Who else is against that appearance change? Anyone? Bueller? I’m really hoping she goes back to being a brunette eventually. Maybe I just don’t like change.

Which other female doctor at Seattle Grace has Alex hooked up with?

Start your speculation in the comments! Are you thinking Callie? Meredith? Cristina? All of them seem pretty doubtful, but you never know. Bailey? That’d be an interesting twist.

Jackson Avery's Grandpa to be Played by Chelcie Ross

Fans of Mad Men will undoubted recognize actor Chelcie Ross when he makes an appearance in an upcoming episode of Grey’s Anatomy. It seems the Mercy Westers are finally getting some spotlight time, as Ross will be playing Jackson Avery’s grandfather.

If the name “Avery” rings any other bells for you, that may be because Ellis Grey was the recipient of the Avery Award, which was named after – you guessed it – Jackson’s grandfather.

According to spoiler sources, Jacson and Meredith will bond over this fact, which means … well, I don’t know what it means. Less hostility between the two factions? We’ll have to wait and see.

Grey's Anatomy 6.13 State of Love and Trust Sneak Peeks

In this sneak peek, Derek takes the stage (or the steps) at Seattle Grace and announces his new role as interim chief of surgery. The gang shows their support by offering their own special brand of commentary. Meanwhile Mark and Lexie exchange not-so-veiled glances. Doesn’t look like Mark is over the whole sleeping-with-Alex thing. But he’s gotta get over it sometime, no?

In the next one, Lexie vents to Callie (while taking out her frustration on a roll of cast padding) about the whole Mark situation, and then Callie accidentally lets it known that Mark slept with Addison “more than once.” Lexie doesn’t take the news well.

Meredith tries to talk to Richard about a solo surgery she’s been assigned.

Callie attempts to make Mark see that he’s being hypocritical about the Lexie situation, but Mark doesn’t take it very well.

Katherine Heigl's Departure Seems Likely ... Again

It’s like deja vu. Not that long ago (see: last season) we were discussing the possibility that Katherine Heigl might depart the show. Well, now we’re right back to the same topic.

According to Ausiello, Katherine Heigl would likely love to leave the show at the end of season 6 but is obligated to remain in the role until at least season 7 due to her contract. Which means that her fate rests in the hands of Shonda Rhimes and the network. They might let her out of the contract or they might decide to keep her on.

Ausiello’s trusty gut instinct tells him they’ll probably let her go, which is disappointing news for Izzie fans. This is in no way concrete news, of course, but since it’s out there and it does seem like Izzie’s character has a clearly marked exit door that she can walk through at any moment, I thought I’d toss it out there so we can all start to get prepared. Again.

Courtney Ford to Guest Star on Grey's Anatomy

If you watched Dexter last season (and if you didn’t, you should, because it is awesome), you will undoubtedly recognize the lovely Courtney Ford. She played the … er, well I don’t want to spoil it for anyone that didn’t see that season, so I’ll just say, she played Christine Hill. You might also recognize her because she’s married to Superman. I mean, Brandon Routh. I mostly remember her – before Dexter – as the cool bartender from Criminal Minds.

Details are fairly slim regarding her visit to Seattle Grace, but Ausiello tells us that she’s playing a lung transplant patient’s sister in an upcoming episode. So it doesn’t sound like she’ll be one of those guest stars that sticks around for very long. Too bad. I think she’d make a cool doctor.

Grey's Anatomy 6.13 The State of Love and Trust Promo

There was no new episode of Grey’s Anatomy last night, as I’m sure most of you noticed, but we’re back all-new next week with the thirteenth episode of the season: “The State of Love and Trust.” The episode will likely kick off with the news that Derek has been made the new Chief of Seattle Grace. No doubt there will be some drama between Derek and the Chief. And just because there’s never quite enough drama, they have a patient wake up during surgery. Now there’s a nightmare come to life … or well, to TV. Same thing.
