I’m serious. Snooki Self-Tanner, brought to you by Supre Tan. It’s called Smart Tan. I really don’t know what exactly is smart about it, though; Snooki Self-Tanner doesn’t sound very smart to me. Then again, I don’t generally use self-tanner, so maybe I’m just not seeing the wisdom in it.
But when I look at Snooki—really, when I look at the entire cast of Jersey Shore– I just think, “ORANGE!” And that in and of itself is enough of a reason not to use Snooki’s Smart Tan, don’t you think?

Not convinced? Well, then, let’s take a look at the evidence.

First, there’s this:

Would you want your face to look like that? I thought not. It’s possible that this is for a variety of reasons, but the orangeness is certainly one of them.

Then there’s this:

The Situation is an unfortunate accessory to have; however, he is not as unfortunate as dark orange legs are.

And then there was the infamous pickle costume:

Remember that whole thing where green is opposite on the color wheel to orange? Well, if you forgot, that image would certainly remind you, wouldn’t it?

And then, finally, there’s this:

Wherein Snooki’s skin matches her dress. This is a big, big no-no.

So now that you’ve seen all the evidence, what do you think? Not a very good idea, is it? I thought not. But the thing that really gets me is that I’m sure that someone, somewhere will buy it. And they will use it. And then we will be saddled with one more overly-orange self-tanning mutant, who will then, zombie-like, pass on their orange mutant genes to someone else. The next thing you know, we’ll be facing an orange zombie apocalypse, and then where will we be?

Oh dear. I’d better go and get the bunker ready.

It’s also been revealed that the older man who took Lindsay to the tide pool in Maui, Ben Holz, is just friends with Lindsay. Apparently they are mutual friends with Woody Harrelson, who asked Ben to show Lindsay around the island.

The other woman posing with Lindsay is Lorit Simon, who co-developed Sevin Nyne with Lindsay.

I don’t know any details of the event, and Sephora doesn’t list it on their site, aside from the fact that Lindsay & Lorit Simon (co-creator of the product) will be at the launch at the Sephora Santa Monica store at 6:30pm (be way earlier!). I just heard about this event now, it wasn’t well publicized, so you may not be able to get into the party without an RSVP.

Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist, the first in the Sevin Nyne product line, sells for $35. It uses only natural ingredients, with an airbrush-style application.

The mist began selling online yesterday, with 5 consumer reviews already! Only one person found the mist a little sticky and orange, while the other 4 reviews were very positive. One person gives it “25 stars”, saying it’s not orange or streaky, with a great price. Another consumer, also a redhead like Lindsay, says the mist looked very natural on her and smells “yummy”.

The tanning mist uses only natural ingredients, with caramel, Chardonnay extracts, gogi berry (an antioxidant) and a sugar-coconut base. The airbrush-style mist makes it easy to apply with a streak-free result. Even the scent is nice, not like many other products on the market.

Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist, the first in the Sevin Nyne product line, sells for $35. The aluminum can is CFCs free and can be recycled. Sevin Nyne is not animal tested. The product is named for Lindsay’s lucky numbers, 7 and 9. A portion of proceeds from the product will go to skin cancer awareness charities, with Lindsay and her partner encouraging men and women to “cherish their skin.”

And I think we can tell the difference. Lindsay looks much more naturally glowing and streak-free than she ever did on previous tanning products. Lindsay’s partner in the product, Kristi Kaylor, says:

“Lindsay only uses Sevin Nyne. As well as perfecting the solution with our lab and choosing the scent, Lindsay named the product, art-directed the visual components and has been involved every step of the way. Lindsay also has her own machine and gallons of Sevin Nyne solution that she uses regularly.”

Lindsay’s own line of tanning products, Sevin Nyne, will be sold at Sephora for $35 starting online on April 15th.

The new Sevin Nyne tanning mist, which will launch online on April 15th at Sephora, is named for Lindsay’s favorite numbers (just like the 6126 leggings were named for Marilyn Monroe’s birthday). Lindsay says:

“As much as I love the sun, it is so bad for your skin. I have tried every product on the market and never found something that I loved.”

The product was developed with Lori Simon, a “tanning expert” who has been bronzing Lindsay for events for many years and who helped her perfect the recipe. The chemical-free Sevin Nyne has DHA as the active ingredient, with caramel, Chardonnay extracts, gogi berry and a sugar-coconut base as other elements. It was important to Lindsay to have a natural product. The color from using the mist will last 4-5 days, less than other products, but it’s a much more natural alternative. Lindsay also says Sevin Nyne is streak-free and “smells delicious”.

The new product was originally expected to be released under her company, Stay Gold LLC and the Stay Gold Collection branding. However, it was decided to change the branding. The Sevin Nyne tanning mist will be available for $35 – online at Sephora on April 15th, in stores May 1st.

Radar reports that Lindsay’s new line, the Stay Gold Collection, will be out this Spring! The collection will include a self-tanner along with other cosmetics such as a bronzer and a tinting cream.

Lindsay, whose skin is quite pale, has a lot of experience using tints and bronzers. She wanted to create something with a nicer smell and with all-natural ingredients.

“I haven’t changed my eating habits. I go to yoga once a week, but I don’t go more than that because I’m too lazy.”

So, with her eating habits in tact, Lindsay again makes reference to the stress in her life. Lindsay says she’s been taking a lot of meetings for movies, as well as for her other design projects under her company, Stay Gold.

Lindsay let drop that she’s doing a self-tanning line for Sephora and that she’s doing a diamond jewelry line (no fashion house announced).
