Video: Watch Zooey Deschanel Sing The National Anthem At The World Series

Game four of the World Series aired on FOX last night, and things were kicked off with a rendition of “The National Anthem” sung by the network’s newest star, Zooey Deschanel. And the quirk queen did a pretty nice job of things. Are we looking at a patriotic cover song on the next She & Him record? More »

New She & Him Video Is A Zooey Deschanel Explosion

New She & Him Video Is A Zooey Deschanel Explosion

“Don’t Look Back” is a retro-futuristic (is that a thing?) new video from Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward‘s indie outfit She & Him. The song is cute enough, but the video is adorbs-overload. Seriously, this thing features four different Zooey Ds in four different stages of preciousness — which is either your idea or heaven or your idea of hell. There is no in-between. More »

Gallery: Stars At Coachella

The Coachella music festival kicked off yesterday in Indio, California, and lots of stars — John Mayer, Katy Perry, Whitney Port, Kristin Cavallari, Pink, Busy Phillips, Camilla Belle, Agness Deyn, Drea de Matteo, Mischa Barton, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Pixie Geldof and her sister Peaches, along with her boyfriend Eli Roth — all came out to watch performers like She & Him and Jay-Z. And Scott Speedman — remember him? We guess everyone loves a good show.

Pitchfork: Sunday, Part II

Finally, here is my last installment on the Pitchfork Festival. Although it got rather hot toward the late afternoon, the crowd was eager to see the last few bands, and the definitely did not disappoint.

M.Ward took a break from touring with Zooey Deschanel as She & Him to appear solo at the festival. Even though it was just him and his guitar, he still captivated the audience with his twangy rhythms, superb vocals, and beautiful lyrics. She & Him… More »
