]]> Life for Sherri Shepherd hasn’t been easy.  Her husband cheated on her and she went through a painful divorce and now she’s a single mother.  When she’s not co-hosting on The View, she has been working on a new book and a comedy series on the Lifetime Television network.

She recently talked to Jet magazine about her new hit show and how doing stand-up has helped her heal.  “With me being in so much pain from when you have a betrayal from your best friend–who was my husband–and the girl got pregnant, I couldn’t even get out of bed. The only thing that saved me was my stand-up. I would get on stage and just talk about stuff and I made people laugh.”

People might not realize how much strength that must have taken but I’m happy for her.  She’s also lost a lot of weight and it looks like she’s about to start a whole new life!
