There’s a new superhero villain in town. Oh sorry, villain superhero. Well, whoever he might be, he just got dibs on Chloe’s heart. Guest star Carlo Marks is Stephen, a comic con fan of Warrior Angle who gets the superhero’s powers when he gets charmed with a bewitched copy of the Warrior Angel comic book , thanks to returning character Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan).

Oh, and the episode is directed by Allison Mack!

So check out the trailer for SMALLVILLE 9.13 “Warrior”, and find out if this version of Warrior Angel is hero or villain. And following it, a webclip of a rather embarrassing encounter between Chloe and Stephen.

Next week, the two-hour movie SMALLVILLE “Absolute Justice” features the Justice Society of America (better known as Justice League of America in the comics world). But I got to warn you, everything from on here contains SPOILERS, so tread with caution!

So, one of the superheroes, Sylvester Pemberton, was murdered and Clark (Tom Welling) and his team are investigating the murder. Chloe (Allison Mack) and Oliver (Justin Hartley) come across an abandoned car, with license plate “STAR”. Oliver finds a notebook in the glove compartment with information on all of them! Someone knows their secret identities!

Elsewhere,  Clark asks Dr. Carter Hall (Michael Shanks) about several phonecalls from Pemberton, as a deranged Kent Nelson (Brent Stait) talks to his “bag” in the background. Clark takes a x-ray peek inside the bag and sees a mask move and stare back at him!

SUPERHEROES TO THE RESCUE! The two-hour SMALLVILLE movie event takes the Justice Society of America to the 21st century when the heroes meet with Clark’s team.

It’s going to be one great thrill ride for all DC Justice League fans, and best of all, the script was written by GEOFF JOHNS and directed by GLEN WINTER (first hour) and TOM WELLING (second hour)

Here’s the CW’s official description –

DC COMICS’ CHARACTERS HAWKMAN, STAR GIRL AND DR. FATE FROM THE JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA MEET UP WITH CLARK AND HIS TEAM IN A SPECIAL TWO-HOUR EVENT. A man named Sylvester Pemberton tracks down Chloe and tells her he knows about her team of superheroes and needs their help. However, before he can explain who he is, he is attacked and killed by Icicle. Clark and Chloe’s investigation leads Clark to the former headquarters of the Justice Society of America where he meets up with Kent Nelson AKA Dr. Fate, Carter Hall AKA Hawkman and Courtney Whitmore AKA Star Girl. Courtney pleads with Hawkman and Dr. Fate to help her catch the killer that is targeting their group but they are reluctant to resume their duties as superheroes. Clark, John Jones, Green Arrow and Chloe team up to help the JSA stop Icicle before he murders another member of the group. Meanwhile, Lois receives a package from a mysterious agency called Checkmate, run by Amanda Waller.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Annette O’Toole inked a deal to reprise her role as Martha Kent on to SMALLVILLE to return sometime during May sweeps. Her last appearance was in season 6 when she moved to Washington to become a senator. Very few details have been released but it looks like the guesting is only for one or a few episodes, but Martha Kent will have a few surprises of her own when she appears in the small town.

And yes, to answer, Ausiello’s question – it would be a nice touch to see Clark Kent reunite with his mother, even though he’s been very capable of handling adult life since she moved out. If this were real life, mother and son would have a warm time catching up in each other’s life, and about Lois too! BUT, this is Clark’s life and nothing in his life is normal. So I bet her return will either have to do with Zod, the Justice Society, or some national security issue.

And that “unexpected surprise”… I just hope it’s not to tell him she’s re-marrying.

The holidays really got to my posting schedule, I can’t believe I missed posting this. But here it is – the summary for SMALLVILLE episode 9.10 “Disciple” –

NO LOVERS, NO ALLIES, NO DISCIPLES – INTRODUCING DC COMICS CHARACTER THE DARK ARCHER – Oliver’s (Justin Hartley) past comes back to haunt him in the form of The Dark Archer (guest star Steve Bacic), Oliver’s former teacher, who seeks revenge on his student by taking aim at Lois (Erica Durance) and Chloe (Allison Mack). Oliver faces down The Dark Archer after his former mentor kidnaps Mia AKA “Speedy” (guest star Elise Gatien) but is pushed to his limit and Clark (Tom Welling) races to stop him from making another deadly mistake. Posted on KryptonSite. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Jordan Hawley.

Oliver Queen wasn’t telling us the whole story after all. We all thought he learned to become skilled at the bow when he was trapped in that island with Tess Mercer. Maybe Oliver developed the skills then, but he trained with the best – the Dark Archer. Unfortunately, Oliver must have also picked up the shady persona from his teacher. The Dark Archer is introduced in this episode as he seeks revenge on his former student, and Oliver will put Lois in danger. Ollie, what have you done?

Zod covets Clark Kent’s powers and he will do everything to get those powers for his own. There’s a sneak to a metallic mask; is that Hawkman’s? And the Justice Society of American insignia, and Chloe levitating. Nothing in the trailer makes sense, scene-wise but everything hints to a big showdown!

Get ready for a darker "archer” episode when SMALLVILLE returns on January! The Green Arrow gets reunited with his old mentor, the “Dark Archer” and a new sidekick, Mia Dearden/Speedy. I searched for (and haven’t found) a synopsis of the episode yet but several spoilers have come up that will clue us in on what the episode will be about –

• Guest star Elise Gatien returns as Mia Dearden, and Oliver takes her in his wings as the sidekick Speedy.
• Oliver’s mentor, the Dark Archer (reportedly played by Steve Bacic) will make an appearance. Dark Archer comes from a Celtic cult of assassins. Maybe that’s where Ollie gets his gray-shades of reasoning. If Dark Archer is the bad guy version of Green Archer, that makes him a villain to contend with!

So anyway, here is a trailer for the SMALLVILLE 9.10 episode “Disciple” when the series returns on January 22nd, but it could well be another preview of the mini-movie event “Absolute Justice” which comes after “Disciple”.  One thing remains certain – Clark Kent will need all the help he can get to take on Zod and the Kandorians.

On February 5, Clark Kent will clash with the Justice Society of America in the mini-movie titled “Absolute Justice”. The SMALLVILLE event will be a nod to the Justice League of America, and will feature Hawkman (‘Stargate” alum Michael Shanks), Dr. Fate (“Andromeda”’s Brent Stait) and Stargirl (Britt Irvin of “V”).

The two-hour episode will begin with someone dying at the opening scene that brings the JSA and Clark’s team together, albeit with friction among the superheroes!

“Stargirl has a bit of friction with Green Arrow at the beginning, as does Hawkman,” Irvin tells FanCast.com. Unfortunately, she doesn’t reveal who is going to die, but I’m hoping it’s not anyone of the major players. We can live with some friction. It looks like even Green Arrow and Hawkman will be a “match made in hell”, as Justin Hartley revealed.

But Irvin spoils that Stargirl quickly warms up to Clark Kent.

“He reminds her a lot of her mentor,” says the actress. What’s more, when the JSA gets wind (via Dr. Fate) of Clark’s destiny, Stargirl realizes “he’s very important for mankind.”

So what can we expect from Stargirl on this SMALLVILLE “Justice Society” event? Irvin adds that her character will be true-to-form – the “cosmic star that shoots powerful energy”, her agility (“lots of flipping”) and that awesome costume!

When SMALLVILLE returns, we will be treated to an extravagant two-hour movie event in February featuring some of Justice League’s prime superheroes – Hawkman, Dr. Fate and Stargirl!

Titled “Absolute Justice”, the February 5 movie should get fans excited for a look-see of Smallville’s take on the Justice League. Spoilers say the backstory is about the JLA’s existence since the 1970’s, but the heroes have since disbanded, so expect some form of comeback for the older generation of heroes.
