Phenomenal Handclap Band, a supergroup of sorts made up of two NY DJs and members from various bands at different times, including Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, TV on the Radio, Calla, Mooney Suzuki, Oakley Hall, Antibalas, Mark Ronson’s band and Sí Se. You’ve probably heard their song “Shut Up and Let Me Go” on the latest iPod commercial, seen their posters plastered around their city, or maybe you saw them at SXSW. Either way, surely you have heard of the Ting Tings, who come to us straight from England where they are already super popular.
