Thao and The Get Down Stay Down
Last night I got to see the lovely Thao Nguyen and her awesome band, The Get Down Stay Down, at the Bowery Ballroom. Revenge of the Bookeaters With Paul Simon and More

Thao Nguyen with the Get Down Stay Down
Thao Nguyen with the Get Down Stay Down opened for Rilo Kiley last night at Terminal 5 and they’ll do it again tonight. Their debut album, We Brave Bee Stings and All, is quite excellent and I look forward to hearing them live. They also just added a headlining show at Mercury Lounge on Wednesday. Tickets will be available at the door.

El Guincho Playing Free Show Tonight, I’m From Barcelona Coming Soon
Recently named Best New Music by Pitchfork, El Guincho is in town from Barcelona and is playing a free show for Other Music at Union Pool in Brooklyn tonight. Apparently he rocked it at SXSW and at Mercury Lounge last night, so this seems like a good show to check out.
