Van Morrison, Ladytron, The Roots, and More On Sale
It’s Friday, so that means lots of tickets go on sale today:
Van Morrison, who had already announced two shows at Madison Square Garden on February 27 and 28, has added two shows at The Beacon Theater on March 3 and 4. At all of these shows he will be playing is album Astral Weeks. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.

I never thought I would see the day…when The Wrens play a concert again. That and lots more tickets are on sale today:
The Wrens are playing a KEXP benefit with Titus Andronicus, Bell, and We Were Promised Jetpacks at Bowery Ballroom on March 13. Tickets go on sale today at noon.
The Decemberists are playing Radio City Music Hall on June 10. Tickets are on AMEX presale now, they go on regular sale on Friday at noon.

Dark Was The Night Listening Party

Dark Was The Night is a compilation being put out to benefit the Red Hot Organization–an international charity dedicated to raising money and awareness for HIV and AIDS through popular culture. New Venue in NJ Announces Lineup
There is a new music venue called the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ. Well, it’s not exactly new as it’s been around since 1922, but it was a cinema for a while and it closed in 2006. It is now being run by Bowery Presents and it has announced its initial lineup. Tickets go on sale for everything tomorrow (Saturday).
