The Whitney Museum of Art will be hosting a Dan Graham retrospective (Dan Graham: Beyond) from June 24 to October 11. Some background on Dan Graham from the press release:

Amanda Palmer & The Danger Ensemble will be playing a 2 a.m. show at the Bowery Ballroom (after Patti Smith). Tickets go on sale Friday at noon.

So many venues host (mostly) free shows in the summertime, it’s hard to keep up. There’s McCarren Pool, Central Park, and Prospect Park. But then there’s also Castle Clinton in Battery Park, the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center, and the South Street Seaport.
