1. Serious music: All four shows covered the suicide of Marie Osmond’s son, but not without switching from peppy background music to slower, much more solemn (but still peppy) background music. When the tempo slows, that’s when you know they’re talking about something un-fun.

2. Awkward transitions: Some shows were able to transition from the Osmond story to something a little more upbeat without seeming completely disingenuous. Others were not.

• Best: Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, but he was already talking about something serious.

• Most Inappropriate: Entertainment Tonight’s Mark Steines: “It’s such a tragedy Mary. BUUUUT! We have some television news to get to!”

3. Obligatory Reporter Guest Commentator: Having one to four other celebrity reporters employed on the show just really isn’t enough to deliver the day’s gossip news. We need to hear from a magazine reporter too.

• Best: The Vanity Fair reporter on Access Hollywood. Because at least they were discussing the Michael Douglas article that’s running in Vanity Fair.

• Most Ridiculous: As if four anchors and guest panelist Dr. Drew at one table wasn’t too crowded, The Insider threw to a reporter from US Weekly not once but twice to weigh in on the day’s non-Osmond celebrity news.

4. Ben “Hey bro, I really enjoyed your movie” Lyons: E!-specific, but a category all his own.

Part 4 actually gave us a peek at what Beverly Hills organizer Linda Koopersmith has been able to do to fix Lindsay’s overfilled apartment. Lindsay has rooms filled wall to wall with racks of clothing and shoes.

While we saw these great big rooms filled with all of Lindsay’s stuff, on this episode we saw a tiny room (or closet) with Lindsay’s accessories organized with a new bench put in. So where did the room go with all of the racks of clothes?

They also gave us a peek inside Lindsay’s bedroom, which the next part of the never-ending series will focus on.

I’m not sure if the closet they showed at the end with Lindsay’s clothes and the three-way mirror was in her bedroom or in one of the other rooms.

In part 3, Lindsay is introduced to organizer to a Beverly Hills organizer who promises that the “before and after” of Lindsay’s home are amazing.

The organizer tells Insider host Donny Osmond that Lindsay is not a “hoarder” and generally people she works with tend to stick with her system once they have something workable in place.

Niecy Nash, the host of Clean House, said she love helping people fight clutter – and clutter is an outward expression of an inward thing.

Lindsay admits that the clutter makes it hard to focus and can be very distracting.

“A disorganized house often means a disorganized life. Clean up one and one is sure to follow,” Nash said.

Nash asked Lindsay is she was ready to let someone come in to help her organize her things and prepared to maintain it aftewards. Lindsay seems very willing to get help with her dilemma, and for that she really should be commended.

Nash said her exclusive with Lindsay will continue Monday on The Insider, when a Beverly Hills cleaning expert will be on hand to help Lindsay.

What Nash said about a “disorganized home often means a disorganized life” is very fitting for Lindsay. She has so much going on that many have commented that she can’t seem to focus on one thing, be it movies, music, designing, etc. Hopefully, getting her home organized will help her organize her life as well.

It appears that Lindsay has a room full of shoes and a living room filled with overflowing piles of clothes.

And Lindsay will talk about the pain her father Michael Lohan has caused her over the years.

Frankly, I’m surprised Lindsay would share something so personal, but maybe she was inspired to change. Maybe she’s a fan of the Hoarders show on A&E?

“You are a toxic parent. You are a manipulator. I believe you are just trying to make money off of Lindsay. You’re always in the press talking negative,” Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star NeNe Leakes told Michael Lohan.

Michael Lohan denied her allegations saying he’s never made a penny off Lindsay.

“Not me. I’m not promoting myself. People don’t like me for what I’m doing. I’m a toxic parent? I’m the only one trying to help her,” Michael Lohan responded.

“You don’t have to do this publicly to Lindsay. You know that,” Nene says.

I guess that sets Michael Lohan off because he then tells her to:

“Go promote Nutri Systems or something,” Michael Lohan said.

And she doesn’t back down either.

“Go hang out with Jon Gosselin.”

And it gets worse from there. Finally, it the “smackdown” ends with Michael Lohan taking his microphone off first.

Later, Michael Lohan issued an apology following his heated face-off.

“I apologize to the producers of ["The Insider"], the viewers and even Miss Leakes for coming back at her, for her attack on me, in the inappropriate manner I did. I do however wish I had known she was on the panel because then I would have known what I was in for and I would have handled things differently,” Michael Lohan told The Insider. “To begin with, she may have children, but none in a crisis situation. Second, for her to call me a broke ass when I am not, but she had a house in foreclosure and 2 cars repoed [sic], I would have addressed that as well.”

Sounds like his apology isn’t really an apology.

“This show was about helping my daughter and owning up to my part of her life and why I have taken these measures. Not a personal attack on Lindsay or me. I am sorry for my conduct and I hope Ms. Leakes is for hers,” Michael Lohan told The Insider.

I think Lindsay should put NeNe on her payroll!

I don’t understand why Lindsay’s father is showing up on all of these celebrity tabloid shows? To save Lindsay?
