When The Roots‘ Questlove first started getting serious backlash for calling Michele Bachmann a “lyin’ ass bitch” via her walk on music, he was faced with a few different choices: dig his heels in, possibly putting his job in jeopardy, or issue the kind of lukewarm apology that people often make when their jobs are threatened. Guess which one he chose? More »

As you may know by now, hundreds of Occupy Wall Street protestors were emptied out of Zucotti Park last night by an army of police officers in riot gear. This is certainly interesting from a political point of view; the imminent court decision on whether or not King Bloomberg acted unconstitutionally could have wide-ranging implications. Luckily for the purposes of this website, it’s also interesting from a celebrity Twitter point of view, as the first person who reported on this was prolific celebrity tweet-er Questlove. More »

Remember when Amy Winehouse couldn’t get her ass to the 2008 Grammys because America wouldn’t give her a visa (yet for some reason we’ll take Lindsay Lohan back, sans passport)? Well, Amy’s not been on her best behavior recently, what with the “recent tumbling down the staircase and damaging her new boobs incident” so US customs is still nixing the idea of her coming and damaging our pristine celebrity reputation.
Which is quite hurtful to Amy and her new collaborators, Roots… More »
