The Roots’ Questlove Tried To Warn Occupy Wall Street About Last Night’s Raid
As you may know by now, hundreds of Occupy Wall Street protestors were emptied out of Zucotti Park last night by an army of police officers in riot gear. This is certainly interesting from a political point of view; the imminent court decision on whether or not King Bloomberg acted unconstitutionally could have wide-ranging implications. Video: Stephen Colbert and The Roots Perform ‘Friday’
Stephen Colbert announced that he would join band The Roots to perform a cover of Rebecca Black‘s “Friday” if fans helped raise $26,000 for Colbert’s favorite charity, DonorsChoose. (Editor’s note: DonorsChoose is awesome!) Not only did viewers raise the money, but NBC matched the amount. Coachella East aka All Points West has announced its initial lineup for its three-day festival taking place in Liberty Park Aug. 8-10.
