Last Friday, of the many shows going on, I went to the KEXP Benefit at Bowery Ballroom. Awesome band The Wrens (who really need to come out with a follow-up to 2003′s The Meadowlands) are donating their lead guitarist Charles Bissell to other awesome band Okkervil River. See, Brian Cassidy is having a baby and so will not be touring withe band anymore. That leaves Bissell to fill in on the band’s dates with yet another awesome band, the New Pornographers.
