The Wrens at Bowery Ballroom
Last Friday, of the many shows going on, I went to the KEXP Benefit at Bowery Ballroom. I missed We Were Promised Jetpacks and caught the tail end of Titus Andronicus, but saw the whole set of the elusive Wrens. I never thought I would see the day…when The Wrens play a concert again. That and lots more tickets are on sale today:
The Wrens are playing a KEXP benefit with Titus Andronicus, Bell, and We Were Promised Jetpacks at Bowery Ballroom on March 13. Tickets go on sale today at noon.
The Decemberists are playing Radio City Music Hall on June 10. Tickets are on AMEX presale now, they go on regular sale on Friday at noon.

Charles Bissell Joins Okkervil River Who Are Touring With New Pornographers
Awesome band The Wrens (who really need to come out with a follow-up to 2003′s The Meadowlands) are donating their lead guitarist Charles Bissell to other awesome band Okkervil River. See, Brian Cassidy is having a baby and so will not be touring withe band anymore. That leaves Bissell to fill in on the band’s dates with yet another awesome band, the New Pornographers.
