The Hollywood Walk of Fame has taken a firm stance against reality TV stars: When asked on their Facebook page if they would ever give reality show characters stars, they responded, “Hell to the no!” And for the most part we agree with them. A lot of reality stars are money-grubbing idiots screeching for attention and validation. If you’ve been following the Hunger Games casting decisions on Twitter, chances are you’ve caught the #CinnaWatch2011 hashtag. A pivotal character, Katniss’ main stylist Cinna follows the maxim that “Clothes make the (wo)man”: The outfits he dreams up help Katniss appear sympathetic or powerful depending on who she needs to impress. But so far, no one has been announced to play the role in Lionsgate’s movie, not even some frontrunners. Illustrated Event Report: The PETA Fashion Week Party At Stella McCartney
Last night I bundled up and faced the dastardly winds currently attempting to blow NYC into the Atlantic to attend PETA’s Fashion Week party at the Stella McCartney store. It was over-the-top and ridiculous, of course! The first thing I overheard was an older man saying to his young, pretty companion: “Oh my god, you would loooooove Fashion Week. Everyone is so stylish!” Which made me realize the pair had no idea they were actually at Fashion Week, they just live full-time in a beautiful little bubble filled with thigh-high shoes and men in tuxedos thrusting platters of champagne into their faces. Glamour!
Tim Gunn was there, which made our night, even though he was ushered off backstage before we had a chance to talk* (*profess our love) to him. Also milling about were Lo Bosworth and Taraji Henson who stood next to her controversial naked PETA ad. There were so many funny things, you guys, but I didn’t have a camera, so I drew some pictures that I hope capture the spirit of the event. More »

Taylor Momsen Didn’t Get Kicked Off Gossip Girl? Hmn…
Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen made headlines this week when it looked like the show’s producers were finally taking a stand against her prima donna teenage antics. Deadline reported that Taylor had been suspended for the rest of the season, due to her erratic behavior.
But now E! Online claims that Taylor’s absence from the rest of the season has to do with the storyline, not Taylor’s behavior off screen. Apparently, it’s too hard to write Jenny Humphrey into college plotlines, since she’s still in high school.
That is a ridiculous excuse. In the grand tradition of Saved By The Bell, Gossip Girl writers have bypassed the college tradition of leaving home to keep their stars together. Why can’t Jenny frolick around Manhattan with the rest of her cast? More »
Video: Tim Gunn Talks Teenage Suicide Attempt
The important message of the day comes from Tim Gunn who discusses how, as a gay 17-year-old, he was so filled with despair he tried to take his own life. Tim swallowed more than 100 pills in the (thankfully unsuccessful) attempt. The failed suicide let to an intervention that eventually allowed Tim to accept his sexuality.
Tim’s video is part of the It Gets Better Project, a video series by journalist and sex advice columnist Dan Savage. Dan and his husband Terry created the first video of encouragement for LGBT youth in response to the suicide of 15-year-old Billy Marcus last month. Celebs like Anne Hathaway, Ke$ha, Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham have all participated in the project, which also allows users to upload their own videos. More »
Tim Gunn And Taylor Momsen Feud
The list of reasons we wish Tim Gunn were our father continues to grow. The fashion mentor and author shot a Gossip Girl cameo last week, and had some pretty harsh things to say about teenage star Taylor Momsen.
Apparently Taylor couldn’t keep track of her lines to save her life and was constantly on her Blackberry between takes. According to Tim, she’s driving the entire crew bonkers with her diva behavior. Tim told E!: “She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself ‘why are we all being held hostage by this brat?” More »

Tim Gunn: ‘Project Runway’ Season 8 Is Totally Emo
“I have never witnessed a season when I felt so disabled in predicting what the judges might decide,” Tim Gunn told Crushable in a press conference anticipating Season 8 of Project Runway. The new season, which premieres Thursday, July 29 at 9 p.m., is “hot” and “emotional,” according to Tim.

Kelly Bensimon Is Overbooked
Where is Kelly Bensimon these days? Everywhere. Jogging by day, hitting up the party circuit at night. Just yesterday evening, Ms. Bensimon was scheduled for two parties in NYC, and she basically just did a “hi and goodbye” at the first one (a “Fashion Forward” fundraiser hosted by Tim Gunn at a Ports 1961 store).

Like ‘em or not, jumpsuits are still happening. And believe it or not, some styles are actually wearable AND cute in a casual-street-earth mama kind of way.

Adrienne Curry: Reality Show Judge?
According to topmodelgossip.com Adrienne Curry has signed up to be a judge on an upcoming reality show whose winner will receive their own reality show. The tentative title of this game show is Gimme My Reality Show. She’ll be joining fellow judges veteran reality producer Scott Sternberg; and Daily Variety TV editor Michael Schneider on the show.
