Pixar Writer-Director Lee Unkrich Reveals Rejected Toy Story Titles

Pixar Writer-Director Lee Unkrich Reveals Rejected Toy Story Titles

Last night Lee Unkrich — who’s worked on the first two Toy Story movies and wrote Toy Story 3found the original list of over 200 possible titles for Toy Story. It turns out that Pixar just couldn’t land on a good title back in 1995, so in desperation they put out a request to any and all employees. “There’s a reason these were rejected, guys,” he warned. How the Movie Should Have Ended: 'Easy A', 'Juno,' and More

We’ve all sat in a movie theater as the credits roll, unable to leave our seat because we’re so sure there must be more to the movie – it couldn’t have ended like this. The people of How it Should Have Ended feel the same way, and their great animated videos fix some of the more disappointing endings of the last few years. Here are a few of my favorites, and some suggestions for their next projects. More »

‘Cars 2′ Is the First Pixar Film to Get a Rotten Rating on Rotten Tomatoes

'Cars 2' Is the First Pixar Film to Get a Rotten Rating on Rotten Tomatoes

Since Pixar’s films consistently rank above 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, it was bound to happen that one of them would fall short of the group. But it’s shocking just how much of a divide there is: Cars 2 is currently at 37%, the lowest score ever for a Pixar movie and the studio’s first rotten rating. The most baffling part is that audiences seemed to like it well enough, and director John Lasseter approached the movie with genuine enthusiasm even though it was a sequel. More »

Across The Pond: BAFTA Bash

Across The Pond: BAFTA Bash

If you’ve hadn’t noticed, we’re in the midst of the exciting film awards season. I love the beginning few months of the year for this very reason, when hotly anticipated nomination lists fly around (faster than Harry Potter on his Nimbus 2000) as celebs hold their collective breath to see if they made the cut. Gallery: And the 2011 Oscar Nominees Are...

Well they aren’t quite as much as fun as yesterday’s Razzies nominations, but today the Academy Awards were announced by Mo’nique (from Precious) and some other guy. Do you guys think Toy Story 3 will win best picture? I don’t, but it should! More »

Michael Cera’s List Of Cool Stuff

Michael Cera's List Of Cool Stuff

Someone had a conversation with perpetual emo boy Michael Cera in a coffee shop, and ended up getting a whole list of movies and TV shows recommended to him by the Scott Pilgrim star. And then, naturally, the list was posted online today (in Michael’s own scrawl! So cute!) I totally love that his favorite comedy is Wet Hot American Summer, because that’s my favorite comedy as well. Weirdly, I suddenly find myself wanting to hang out with Michael Cera…especially… More »

Illustrious Illustration: 'Toy Story 3' SPOILER ALERT From DeviantArt

“Queen Of Dorks” on DeviantART is an artiste of cute who combines Manga with pop-culture references to produce an overall overload of cuteness. And we’re OK with that. We love it. And if you haven’t yet seen Toy Story 3 (neither have we), then we’re sorry if we spoiled the above Woody-related plot twist for you. We couldn’t help ourselves!… More »

Adam Levine Is Just Like Your Boyfriend: He Fought Tears During ‘Toy Story 3′

Adam Levine Is Just Like Your Boyfriend: He Fought Tears During 'Toy Story 3'

Here at Crushable, we have a theory: That guys who hate everything like Pixar movies and Lost. Who doesn’t, really? Back to Pixar and guys: Basically, these movies turn men into blobbering man-boys. Like the scene in Ratatouille when – spoiler alert – the evil food critic gets misty-eyed once he tastes the nostalgia and down-home goodness of the genius rat-chef’s special twist on an old French standard (ratatouille!). But we get ahead of ourselves.

Video: 'Toy Story' Gets Meta With Google Search

Hey Pixar, you’re movie is already out and making tons of money. You don’t need to do any more viral advertising! Oh, you made this short film about Woody and his friends learning how to use Google Search to find their companions? Well…okay, that’s adorable. Creepy to think of the deal with Google Shopping that you made in order for this quickie to exist, but adorable none the less.

‘Toy Story 3′ Apparently Best Movie, Ever (Or At Least In Top 10)

'Toy Story 3' Apparently Best Movie, Ever (Or At Least In Top 10)

I love Pixar, but oddly enough I have no desire to see Toy Story 3 (sorry, Tim Allen and Tom Hanks and childhood and puppies and everything good about the world). I am also alone in that sentiment. Even those among us who make a career guzzling Haterade for everything in pop culture love Toy Story 3. As Best Week Ever pointed out, it is currently #8  in a list of the top 250 movies of all time, as voted… More »

Send in the toys — Fifteen years after the original debuted Toy Story 3 earned $40 million in ticket sales during its opening night last night. Chalk it up to nostalgia — all those kids who saw the first Toy Story in elementary school are now in their 20′s, with disposable income that can be spent on things like $18 3-D movie tickets. Taking Relationship Advice From Barbie’s Asexual Boyfriend – Probably not the greatest idea, but does make for some very clever viral marketing for Toy Story 3. You know, for kids! (via Urlesque)
