Crushable Books: Taboo’s ‘Fallin’ Up: Keep It On the Positive’
Taboo (real name: Jaime Gomez) is best known as “the guy in the Black Eyed Peas who isn’t Will.I.Am and kind of dresses like Neo from The Matrix.” So when a copy of his memoir, Fallin’ Up, landed on my desk, my immediate reaction was “Why?” But reading the book has given me some insight into who Taboo is and actually made me respect him. While his own story is interesting – he grew up Latino in East L.A., had a kid young, and met his future BEP bandmates when they were doing rap and B-boy battles – it’s, sadly, the parts of his book about other celebrities that are the most interesting. Blink 182′s Mark Hoppus Gets A TV Show, Promises ‘Awesome’ New Album
Mark Hoppus wears many hats: Blink 182 frontman, music producer, husband, father and …. TV host.
The Fuse music channel has hired the punk rocker to front his own weekly talk show, titled A Different Spin With Mark Hoppus. The series debuts in September, and will feature music news, emerging bands and musical performances, among other things that Mark is into.

Travis Barker Update
There’s good news for Travis Barker fans. He seems to be doing well and was spotted out shopping recently in LA. Here are a couple of photos of him with the burn gloves and some scarring on his legs from the third degree burns he suffered in the plane crash earlier this year. But thank goodness, he seems to be on the mend!

DJ AM & Travis Barker in Plane Crash
The former drummer of Blink-182, Travis Barker & singer-song writer Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein were rushed to the hospital in critical condition with extensive burns after a private plane crashed at the South Carolina Columbia Metropolitan Airport at 11:53 p.m. Friday night. The plane apparently never got off the runway and crashed at the end. Both Travis Barker & DJ AM are in a burn center and here’s a bit of information about their condition:
