Betty would admire her moxie — Without even letting the dust settle from the cancellation of her star vehicle Ugly Betty, America Ferrara has already found a new project. She’s executive producing a telenovela series for MTV called Pedro & Maria, along with Ben Silverman‘s new company Electus. You may recall that Ugly Betty was based on a popular Spanish language telenovela, and Ben was the one who decided to adapt it into a U.S.-friendly format, thus launching America’s career.
