Justin Bieber is many things: Usher’s Canadian protege, heir apparent to Justin Timberlake, tween phenomenon. The 16-year-old pop prince has become a household name in just a few short months; just last December, we were all, “Justin who?” And now every soundbite the Biebs utters and every move he makes is a national headline: JUSTIN BIEBER SAYS MILEY CYRUS IS NOT HIS TYPE. JUSTIN BIEBER EATS A SLICE OF PIZZA. AZIZ ANSARI DECLARES WAR ON JUSTIN BIEBER.

Oh wait, we wrote those. He’s unavoidable! But Justin has real vocal chops (see: his extremely emotive appearance on the Haitian charity video). The stars are certainly aligning for Justin, as are the dollars signs. And so he’s now doing stints to hawk his album to the demo that matters just as much as his tween followers: The Mommy Bloc.

Tweens hold major buying power but their ‘rents carry the credit cards! Even John Mayer wants to get in on the action, tweeting: “I would like to sell my CD on QVC but rather than just play songs live, I want to SELL IT!”

Divorce for Usher

Usher’s marriage is over. Finito. Done. The Grammy-winger singer has filed for divorce from his wife Tameka Foster Raymond according to Star Magazine. The couple was married in Atlanta in August 2007 which means they only lasted a few years. It’s always sad when you hear relationships that don’t last long because it means it must have never been that good in the first place.

The petition was filed on Friday – June 12th and the legal papers do not give an official reason for the split. Usher and Tameka have been spending quite a bit of time apart ever since Tameka went into cardiac arrest prior to undergoing liposuction surgery in South America. She had to spend 11 days in a Brazilian hospital recovering.

The night of the divorce, Usher was spotted partying in L.A at club MyHouse. Usher has two sons with Tameka, Usher Raymond V who is 18 months and Naviyd Ely who is just 6 months. I hope the children don’t suffer, they are still so young.

I wonder if any of his up and coming songs will be about ‘divorce’!

Usher Welcomes Second Son

Usher and wife Tameka have welcomed another boy.

Naviyd Ely Raymond was born at 2:33 a.m. Wednesday, December 10 and weighed 5 lbs, 13 oz. Their first son, Usher Raymond V, turned 1 on November 26.

Congrats to the growing family.
