Dear American celebrities in Vancouver,

We know you’re having fun at the Olympics and all, and the Vancouver gift suites are totally hooking you up, but news flash: You aren’t Canadian. Take off that admittedly slick-looking jacket, you traitor! Who cares if the Canadians are welcoming hosts, plying you with warm beverages and maple-flavored treats (this is what we imagine Canadians eat), giving you directions, saying “eh,” and being overall a warm, congenial people. Everybody’s patriotic around Olympics time, and you, sirs, are repping the wrong country.

Think you can fly under the radar? We see you, Glee stars. Corey Monteith gets a pass because he is, in fact, from the Great White North. But Mark Salling, take off that Canada jacket. You’re from Texas. Ditto to you, Kevin McHale.

Jon Hamm, you might be showing support for your Canadian prisoner buddy Michael Buble, but you’re from St. Louis. You should be wearing red, white, and blue, not just red and white. (Though thank you for not wearing your Canada swag at the USA-Canada men’s hockey game. That would just be unforgivable.)

So shape up, traitors, and start supporting your country (for the rest of the Olympics, anyway).

More evidence that no good can come from sexy photos on the Web: bronze medal winning snowboarder Scotty Lago was sent packing from Vancouver after racy pics of him and his provocatively placed medal surfaced last week. (The Frisky)

Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton is set to star in an NBC pilot for a dramedy called Love Bites, which “chronicles several loosely connected, modern stories of love, sex, marriage and dating.” Newton will play a social worker who’s a virgin. (Hollywood Reporter)

Puns and a WB drama vet? Clearly we’ll be watching. Here’s the plot lowdown: Francia Raisa (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) plays a figure skater looking for a new partner, which she presumably will find in Brendan’s “smoldering bad boy of speed skating” James McKinsey. Hopefully the romance element is played down because Francia is 11 years younger than Brendan in real life and that’s still a little icky since she’s just barely out of her teens.

In honor of the made-for-TV movie, which airs on March 14, we’ve brainstormed several alternate titles for the third sequel. Feel free to add your own suggestions/cold weather-related puns in the comments. And ABC Family, if you’re reading, feel free to co-opt one of these for the inevitable Cutting Edge 5.

“Just got to the set of Supernatural. Trying on wardrobe then practing my stunts with the stunt coordinator. So excited to be on the show,” Paris tweeted later in the afternoon.

The heiress will appear in Episode 5 of the upcoming new season of the Vancouver-shot series, which follows two brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) as they battle evil creatures while searching for their missing father. It is strongly rumoured Hlton will play a love interest.
