Union Square Virgin Megastore Also Closing
We already knew about the Times Square location closing in April, but now Virgin has announced it’s Union Square location will also close, at the end of May. Since August 2007, the company has closed all of it’s 11 retail locations except for 3. Wonder what will happen to those…

Virgin Megastore in Times Square Closing
I suppose it was inevitable…first Tower Records and now Virgin Megastore. The huge record store will be closing down it’s Times Sqaure location in April. The Union Square outpost remains open, but who knows for how long. Apparently a Forever 21 will move in to the Times Square location in 2010. The good news? They are havng huge sales.

Glasvegas Album, EP, Tour

Virgin Megastore Leaving Union Square?
According to the New York Sun and Billboard, the Virgin Megastore in Union Square is being offered for availability in 2009 by real estate broker Winick Realty. The two-story, 58,000 sq. ft. space is being offered in total. It is unclear whether Virgin will move the store to another location or close it permanently. No word either on any changes with the Times Square location. First Tower Records, now Virgin? Let’s just hope that all the indepenents like Other Music… More »
