Angela Petrelli is the villain-matriarch, controlling her sons’ lives and decisions to make them do her bidding. Nathan and Peter have been fooled before, and now newfound son Gabriel (Sylar) is an obedient puppy too. But Angela Petrelli has met her match!

Arthur Petrelli returns to his dysfunctional family, as the leader of the villains and the father of the three heroes. I bet you he will take the reigns off his wife’s hands.

We all thought he was dead and committed suicide. But images show he is alive, although strapped to a machine. Not for long though, because he pays his dear wife a visit.

If momma and daddy Petrelli are both villains, will sons Peter, Sylar and Nathan follow their parents’ footsteps? Those three boys certainly have the tendencies to make corrupt decisions.

E! Online reviewed Heroes episode 3.03 “One of us, one of them” and of course added Kristin dos Santos her exclusive dish about the coming episodes. Here’s a rundown –

• Hiro and Ando dig up Adam Monroe for help. Ooooh, won’t he be pissed!
• Tracy Strauss is just one of five (or more?) versions of the same woman, created by Dr. Zimmerman. Let’s see – Niki, Jessica, Gina and who?
• Sylar is a reformed villain in the future. So he’s a dad and Mr. Muggles loves him?! Please tell me this is a nightmare!

(Zach says it’s just a possibility, an alternate future reality. OK, I can sleep tonight.)

The Level 5 villains have escaped and the Company is scrambling to bring them back. They take a bank hostage and ringleader Benjamin Knox lures the Company to take revenge on Noah Bennet, the one who bagged and tagged them.

After being incarcerated inside his cell for who knows how long, Noah reported back to his employers purportedly to help capture the bad guys. He ends up being partnered with Sylar, who Angela Petrelli vouches for as her misunderstood son. It’s interesting what Angela told Noah when he hesitated to pair up with Sylar – “I can make you do what you don’t want to do.” You really wonder the extent of her powers. So, Angela blamelessly tells Sylar that his uncontrollable “hunger” drove him to become who he is. She is actually encouraging Sylar to take even more, and he doesn’t disappoint.

Peter, stuck in the body of Jesse, finally discovers his host’s powers – the sound waves from his voice become a visible force that displaces everything in its path. Just in time, future Peter steps in, knocks Peter off of Jesse’s body and takes his alter-ego to the future. Now that’s really interesting! We know present and future persona can meet, but to take your other self along to the future? That’s a twisted view of the space-time continuum.

Anyhow, at the bank, Sylar steps up as a take-charge guy, and he is quite impressive. He actually helped Noah take down the villains, and that’s exactly what the smarter, non-evolved partner wanted, except even he can’t stop Sylar from taking Jesse’s vocal powers. Yeah, Jesse and The German ended up dead, one in the hands of Sylar and the other (The German) in Knox’s hands.

Meanwhile, Hiro and Ando follow the Speedster to Germany where an exchange was supposed to take place, between the Haitian and some other person. Daphne ends up with the briefcase containing the other half of the formula, and Hiro and Ando are caught by the Haitian. The Japanese duo end up in Level 5. So now, whoever Daphne’s boss is (apparently not the Company) could have his hands on this potentially destructive formula. We’re now looking at some other rogue group, other than the Company, that wants a piece of the world.

Bio-mom Meredith teaches Claire a thing or two about her motives for going after Sylar, and tells her daughter that she has to learn to save herself before she can save the world. Unfortunately, Claire really takes after her mom, and the indestructible cheerleader head out on her own with Primatech dossier in her hands. Where are you going, Claire?

Tracy Strauss, distraught about her icy powers, goes to New Orleans to find answers. Well, she saw it face to face in the dead body of Niki Sanders. Micah knew at once that she wasn’t his mom, but he did the next best thing. He showed Tracy how she might be connected to Niki – it’s with a doctor named Zimmerman, who welcomed her like he has been expecting it. What did Zimmerman mean when he said he “created” Tracy?

Matt finds his life-story drawn by the African bushman. His new friend has been following his life through his drawings. But something has happened and now Matt’s future has completely changed.

Next week’s episode “Heroes” 3.04 “I Am Become Death” previews the future, and did you get a peek at a domestic Sylar?!

Tonight at 9 pm ET, “Heroes” continues the battle between good and evil, heroes versus villains, in an episode that hints at alliances that could shock even the most hardened of Company men.

Four villains escape from the Company Level 5 facility and bust a bank. HRG and his new partner negotiates for the hostages. Hiro continues to track Daphne but run afoul of the Haitian.

As The German.

Last episode, we saw this 6-foot escapee beat someone like it was a doll. Then he flicked his hands and the car doors opened. Could you tell me a little bit more about the German?

Ken Lally: Cool. I don’t know if it was based on me or they cast me because I was like him, but my character was developed in the graphic novel. The German was a bank robber, a super villain who could manipulate metal. Company people went to go and tracked him down, and ultimately they caught him and stuck in Level Five.

I want to ask you what his background is, what type of person he is.

Ken: Actually, it’s good to have ambiguity on the show because the writers can do anything they want. Some of the characters even have names in the script that are like HRG and the Haitian. Some have ambiguous backgrounds and no names so the writers can take them in any direction they want as per fans interest. That’s pretty cool.

I read a “Company dossier” on your MySpace page that the German has highly sociopath instincts. Were you able to explore that part of the character yet?

Ken: Oh yeah! It’s a great part of the character because obviously you can manipulate metal. People are comparing me to Magneto, but the thing that I think separates me from Magneto is that I love just kicking ass. (Laughter) I mean I can do these powers and I have this ability, but I’m kind of an ultra-violent guy and really enjoy an old fashion beat down as you saw on the first season premier. I mean while Flint, played by Blake Shield, was using his power to express himself as it were. (Laughter) I wasn’t using my power to express myself. I was just throwing somebody a good beating because I’m brutal, sociopathic and also violent.

And on Monday we are going to rob a bank, as I was told online.

That’s one of the descriptions and so The German is an integral part of that. But there is also a larger story line that my character is a part of that I can’t tell you about, but if the writers choose to pursue it then you’ll be seeing a lot more of me.

Are you going to be that violent when you rob the bank?

Ken: Oh, it’s on. (Laughter)

I imagine you’re going to throw the vault open. You know, have all the metal come to you and then just everything’s open for the taking.

Ken: Well, I can’t comment on that. But you can definitely see what happens on Monday.

As a Villain.

So, how is it working with the other villains? You are all new to the show.

Ken: Oh it’s great. Actually Blake Shield and I have become fast friends and we are actually traveling together. I believe he’s still coming. We are going to the London MCM comic con in late October and we’re going to sign autographs and meet the fans. We are trying to get Jamie Hector who plays Knox to come along. We’ve been texting seriously back and forth trying to get Jamie to come. I was going to go to San Jose for the Comic Con on the 4^th and 5^th but now I’m not going to be able to go. Yeah, but we are good friends, Blake and I, and Jamie’s a great pal and we have a good time hanging out, Jamie’s a martial artist like I am and Blake’s just a smartass like me. (Laughter) So, we all get along pretty well.

The writers are brilliant and they’re really cool, too. The whole set is just a big family.

How far along is “Heroes” now?

Ken: I’m not sure. One of my things to do today is call production and find out how far along. I am not sure; I’d have to find that out. I know up to at least episode six, but they bounce around a lot because there are so many stars of the show that it’s tough to juggle everyone’s schedule so that they can work on episode two and the next day, they’ll work on episode, like, ten. In episode 302, we shot elements and parts a month apart. We shot the bulk of it I think in June and then more scenes in other pickups about a month later. It’s spread out pretty well.

Now, I hate to ask this but you know in “Heroes” people end up dead. Do we see any deaths among the villains in the near future?

Ken: Yeah I can’t comment on that, but I can tell you, as you know on the show, just because you die don’t always necessarily mean you are gone.

On the set it was funny because they were joking about how they have a wall of death and they take pictures of everyone who dies on the show and apparently half the people on the wall of death are alive again. (Laughter) The writers are very smart and they are really crafty at engineering something when necessary.

As the fighter.

Your background in stunts has often come in handy. You must get to use your martial arts a lot in “Heroes”.

Ken: Well, I do. The first night we blocked out a fight and we blocked out a fight two different ways and then Greg Beeman wanted to put a camera in a different spot. So, we had to block out the same fight a third time. So, yeah it’s come in really handy. Having a stunt background and a fight background came in handy my first day of shooting. I know that being able to act action and being able to do stunts and fight has gotten me at least half of the parts I’ve gotten on stage in New York and London and on film and TV. In Shakespeare I’m getting cast as the sword expert or Tybalt in “Romeo and Juliet” or Claudius in “Hamlet” and fighting and playing the bad guy.

I can help block out the scene and really create a dynamic fight scene with other actors who aren’t as skilled as I am. It’s really come in handy. I actually coached one of the actors in an episode. In episode 303, I had to coach one of the actor’s stunt-fighting because he was just too fast.

I’ve done boxing and kick boxing coaching for actors on film and sword fighting and fencing. It’s a really good skill for a Shakespearian actor and a film actor to have because it’s coming around a lot these days.

As a Spy-kid

You mentioned that your dad was a real-life spy?

Yeah he told me. He left a letter for me, a posthumous letter for my brother and I explaining how he worked for the NSA in a division called COMINT which is the highest, apparently the highest level of the NSA, which reports directly to the president.

He was recruited as a teenager in the Cold War, because he had a very high IQ and aptitude for language and technology. I don’t really know when he stopped working for the NSA. I know he worked with the DIA at the Pentagon, because I never really knew this.

I knew he worked for military intelligence, but I never really knew the extent of what he did until after he was dead. He was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

You must be very proud of him.

Ken: I’m very proud of my father. Unfortunately, I wish there were more details on how he died. But all I know is he died on a bicycling trip in France with a bunch of former East Germans and the BOD wouldn’t allow the French to perform an autopsy and he was cremated. It’s all so sketchy. I don’t know what he was doing or what was going on.

Sounds like a spy movie, huh?

Ken: Yeah, I wrote a script about it actually because you know, he met my mother in Berlin and he worked for China and Berlin. So hopefully one of these when I can get that script made, because it’s a really interesting story.

I’m sure it is. I have never met a spy, but sometimes you think, oh yeah I want to meet one. Well, you actually lived with one!

Ken: You know that’s really funny because growing up, he really kind of helped me. He wanted me to be a Navy Seal. He always brought home weapons manuals from the DIA and he had me reading all these Robert Ludlum books and he couldn’t tell me what he did, but he kind of guided me along a similar path.

One of my aunts says he was instrumental in establishing free trade with the Chinese, but I’ve heard so many stories, I don’t know what to believe. I figure I’ll find out next time I met him.

You’re making your own path too. I’m sure he’s proud of where you are right now.

Ken: Yeah, I hope so. I believe so.

I hope to talk to you again when we have more of the episodes. I guess we’ll see where your character goes and what’s going to happen to him and how awful he is as a German villain.

Ken: (Laughter) Well, tune into G4. The show G4 online has a show called “Attack of the Show” and me and some of the other villains are going to be on there on Monday broadcasting live. I think they’ve given us permission to talk more freely about the show on “Attack of the Show”.

I’m also going to be on “Yo! on E”, which is definitely on Sirius satellite. It’s a radio. Some of the guys and I will talk about tonight’s episode.

Ken: Yeah, and you know it’s important for the show and it’s important for us as actors and entertainers to stay in touch with the fans. So, we are really going to try and do that.

And you thought you couldn’t get excited over “Heroes” again, can you? The season 3 premiere proved everyone wrong that the show has lost its luster. Edge-of-the-seat suspense and cliffhangers from start to finish, that’s what we saw this Monday.

Four years into the future, and it’s still a darker world. Despite preventing New York from exploding and the Shanti virus from being released, the world is still on the brink of catastrophe. It may even be worse, as the heroes themselves have changed.

Volume 3 “Villains” opens with Claire Bennet confronting Peter Petrelli and blaming him for everything that has happened to them. What exactly that is, we don’t know yet, but Claire is pissed off enough to want to kill her uncle. Peter thinks he can still save them, he can go back in time and change the course of history. And before Claire’s bullets can hit him Peter went back to the day it all started. He killed the one man he thought started it all, exposing posthumans to the world – his brother Nathan.

Meanwhile back in the present time, Hiro Nakamura is as bored as ever as his father Kaito’s predecessor at the Yamagato Industries. What changed his life was a message from Kaito to be the “sentinel” of a dark secret – the half of a formula. “I don’t want to be a sentinel, I want to be a hero” was Hiro’s innocent reply. Little would he know that this formula would change everything. Unfortunately a speedster named Daphne stole the paper from Hiro. His father warned him the formula could destroy everyone if it falls into the wrong hands. Hiro goes to the future to see for himself what his father warned him about. There he sees his bestfriend killing him over the formula, and Japan explodes right before his eyes. Hiro is now on the quest of his life, as he chases someone who runs faster than the speed of light.

The suspense of the evening happened when Sylar paid Claire a visit. Like Hitchcock all the way, we can’t get our eyes off the screen. You just know what’s gonna happen but you’re still afraid to look. In the end, Claire gets her head open in a classic Sylar fashion. The line of the evening – “Claire, that’s disgusting!” when she asked if Sylar was going to eat her brains. He didn’t, but did something more terrible to our young cheerleader. Like an expert watchmaker, Sylar carefully took what he needed from her brain, and left her alive, devoid of any feelings of pain. Clair found out that her brain is unlike no other. She is “special, different”. She can never die. Now Sylar can’t too.

Mohinder’s discovery of Maya’s abilities lead him away from the gentle scientist on a quest for glory, to a man hungry for power. He discovers the enzymes that allow one’s powers to manifest. The contents of the adrenalin could give powers to anyone, almost instantaneously. Although Maya had warned Mohinder that the content of the syringe is evil, it can’t cure anyone, Mohinder still injects himself with it and he becomes Spider-suresh!

Nathan miraculously recovers from the fatal gunshot wounds and has an epiphany to do God’s bidding as one of his “angels”. Unfortunately, it’s not God who healed him, it’s Linderman. Is the mobster back from the dead? Mama Angela Petrelli confronts future Peter about her beloved son’s whereabouts, and future Peter blames her for all the chaos that the future holds. And yet, somehow, Peter’s intervention has changed the future entirely and something different is now going to happen.

Will there be hope? Maybe. As Kaito Nakamura said, “there is one hope – among you who carries the purity of blood, who carries the “light” to safeguard against the darkness.”

“Heroes” released a lot of promotional videos in the past month, but it’s really just the same long video clip retold, cut, built up and repeated over and over. It gets old after a while. NOT THIS ONE! Oh no.

• Nathan Petrelli dies (autopsied dead) at the hands of his brother.
• Nikki sees herself (or her twin/clone?) cold as dead in a coffin.
• Peter shift-changes right before our eyes, but another prisoner says he really is Peter! What’s really going on?
• And then Peter brings Nathan back to life.
• IS that Ando fighting with Hiro?! 
• Meredith (Claire Bennet’s bio mom) shows off her powers to Noah Bennet.
• Sylar is hurt. Did Claire do it?
• new character Knox knocks Peter off his feet.
• spidey-Mohinder makes out with Maya
• and the clincher, Claire asks Sylar as he looks at her open skull, “Are you gonna eat it?” The villain’s reply? “Eat your brains? Claire that’s disgusting!”
