Warner Brothers confirms: Deathly Hallows will be in 3D
It’s official: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released in 3D.
“We are experienced and have been successful in the conversion of 2D to 3D going back to such hits as ‘The Polar Express,’ select scenes in ‘Superman Returns’ and the last two Harry Potter films,” Warners domestic distribution boss Dan Fellman said.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows….in 3D?
Supposedly, Warner Brothers is near to a decision on whether or not Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be in 3D.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, WB is testing audience reactions on the 3D remake of “Clash of the Titans”, and since the tests are going SO well, they’re thinking that DH will benefit from a little bit of 3D action, too.

Warner Brothers is at the top of the heap for 2009
Warner Brothers, the production company behind the Harry Potter films, is reporting record earnings for 2009 – primarily boosted by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Warner Brothers projects a $2.99 billion domestic balance sheet – not too shabby!

Next stop for the Harry Potter Exhibition: Ontario Science Centre
Warner Brothers has just announced the next stop for Harry Potter: The Exhibition, and it is the Ontario Science Centre in Ontario, Canada. This is the first venue booked outside of the United States.

A Harry Potter themed dinner at a house in West London has been banned by Warner Brothers, because they say it infringes its copyright on the series and movies.

Warner Brothers has announced a truly amazing bonus for buyers of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on Blu-Ray: access to a LIVE screening of the film with actor Daniel Radcliffe and director David Yates.

Split point for Deathly Hallows movies is (tentatively) announced
At Muggle Mayhem this week (a weekend event for fans of the fansite Mugglenet.com), actor Joshua Herdman (Goyle) revealed the official split for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movies. Note: this is completely tentative until absolutely confirmed by Warner Brothers or producer David Yates. Here we go:
Herdman said that the current plan was to split Deathly Hallows just after the trio are captured by the Snatchers and right before they are taken to Malfoy Manor.

Boston pundit questions the logic of Harry Potter at Boston’s Museum of Science
An interesting (and well written) article at Boston.com is asking if Harry Potter: The Exhibition really belongs at a science museum. His reasoning? Magic has nothing to do with science, and the Harry Potter exhibition is nothing but a traveling advertisement for Warner Brothers.

Makeup for Fenrir Greyback – each hair applied individually!
Special makeup man Nick Dudman is no slouch when it comes to making characters come to life, but when Warner Brothers came to him and said that Dave Legeno had been cast as Fenrir Greyback,and that he needed to make it fantastic, he was all ” no problem, I am ON IT.” Well, actually he said this:

Whoo hoo! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has beaten all midnight openings of all time, pulling in $20 million during its midnight run at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, according to early estimates. That’s a lot of galleons!
