According to a press release I just got from Warner Brothers (thanks!), there’s going to be a fun interactive video contest starting now until July 15, the opening day of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Here’s more information:
The “Advanced Potion-Making Experience” is an interactive video submission contest launched in support of the much-anticipated July 15th opening of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”

The Obama girls visit the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Via the Daily Mail, we get a report that Michelle Obama and her two lovely daughters paid an unofficial visit to the London set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Here’s more information:
The girls, both avid Potter fans, are expected to meet Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and the other stars of the movie.
The family will get a private tour understood to be conducted by Joshua Berger, an American who heads Warner Brothers UK.

IMAX release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince possibly delayed by two weeks?
Say it isn’t so! Via Harry Potter Fan Zone, TV Watch Online reports that the IMAX release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been delayed by two weeks, to July 29th; it was originally set to be shown in IMAX theatres the same day as the release in “regular” theatres, July 15. Why? Here’s the possible reason (we don’t have confirmation yet):

Dates for the premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince announced
The official premiere dates for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have been announced by Warner Brothers, and here they are:
The Japanese premiere of Half-Blood Prince will take place on Monday, July 6, 2009.
The London premiere will take place on Tuesday, July 7th.
The New York City premiere the next day, on July 8th.
