Zac Efron on the Set of "Entourage"

Zac Efron was seen on the set of the hit comedy “Entourage” on Tuesday (June 2). E! Online reported, “Zac Efron is the latest celeb to join the Entourage boys on HBO. Apparently Zac shot a scene this morning at Niketown in Beverly Hills. SWEET!”

According to Zap2It.com’s Korbi TV, Zac will play none other than….himself! The episode filmed at a Beverly Hills Niketown boutique this morning. “Entourage” returns to HBO July 12.

Zac was seen posing with the show’s star Jeremy Piven and a little girl. He also shook hands with a brunette and stretched his back showing off his undies and muscles. LOL.

Zac Efron Heads Back to Japan

Zac Efron hopped on a plane at LAX today (May 12) and is heading back to Japan for more promo work for his film “17 Again”. I finally was able to see this movie and I loved it. I thought Zac was great and played an adult, playing a 17 year old really, really well.

Recently is was announced that Zac had pulled out of doing a “Footloose” remake. He didn’t want to be known just as the song and dance man and is looking at other projects.

The film still doesn’t have a star to replace him, but it does have a date. You can see someone get “Footloose” on June 18, 2010. Right now, rumor has it the two guys vying for the role are Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford and Dancing With the Stars‘ Derek Hough.

Zac Efron Attends Madrid “17 Again” Premiere

Zac Efron attended the “17 Again” premiere in Madrid, Spain yesterday (April 28). The premiere was held at the Kinepolis Cinema. Zac went for the slicked back hair look, which showed off those gorgeous blue eyes.

“17 Again” premiered in the U.S. last weekend and it did well at the box office. I haven’t seen the movie yet and went looking for some reviews. Check this review out from Elizabeth Banks at the Huffington Post:

Zac Efron did not disappoint. He’s charming, makes use of many fingers while "twirling a basketball" (you get it) and looks great with his shirt off (some term that "star power"). At one point, I drooled.

She goes on though to talk about the message this movie gave:

Here’s the thing though — the message of the movie seemed to be (and again, I may just be reading too much into the twirling fingers thing): knocking up your high school sweetheart is A-OK! Especially if you give up that Syracuse scholarship to marry her! F College!

Zac Efron Arrives at JFK

Zac Efron arrived at JFK airport early this morning (April 6). The “17 Again” star is looking a little bit sleepy this morning! Zac has been traveling all over promoting his latest film, which hits U.S. theaters on April 17th.

It was big news last week when it was announced that Zac would not be starring in the remake of “Footloose”. In Las Vegas over the weekend, where Zac was receiving the Showest Breakthrough Performer of the Year award, he spoke to EW about his decision.

“I’m sure Footloose would have been a huge challenge, but the actors that I love and the actors that work really hard in this industry are always shaking things up, trying new genres, acquiring new skill sets. That’s what’s always going to appeal to me: the unknown.”

What does this mean for the past High School Musical star? He’s reuniting with with 17 Again director Burr Stears to play a young man who takes a job as a cemetery caretaker where his younger brother has recently been buried in The Death & Life of Charlie St. Cloud.

I was very disappointed when I heard that Zac changed his mind about Footloose, but I can definitely see the reasoning behind the decision. He wants to take his career in a different more serious direction and there is nothing wrong with that!

Zac Efron Poses for "17 Again" Photocall

Zac Efron has been busy promoting his new film “17 Again”. He has been to Australia and most recently landed in Paris, France.

Today, March 24th, Zac attended a photocall at the Plaza Athenee in Paris, France. He kept it very casual in a blue shirt (are those stains?), gray jeans and those winning blue eyes.

The internet is all abuzz about the fact that Zac Efron has pulled out of the remake of “Footloose”. I am so disappointed because number one, I love that movie and number 2, I thought Zac was THE perfect person to fill the shoes of Kevin Bacon.

So, why is he letting is go? He hasn’t addresses leaving the movie publicly, but he didn’t want to be known as the song and dance man. He has danced and sang his way through High School Musical, Hairspray and also on stage at the Oscars.

There is no word yet if a replacement has been found, but Paramount Pictures made this statement:

“Footloose is a project we’ve longed to see rebooted for a new generation,” Paramount Pictures said in a statement. “While Zac in no longer attached, we remain excited and committed to the collective brain trust of [HSM turned Footloose director] Kenny Ortega, Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, who will reinvigorate the franchise.

“Their fresh take on the film will undoubtedly be filled with the same kind of breakout performances that we’ve come to expect from them.”

Zac Efron Goes Down Under to Promote “17 Again”

Zac Efron arrives solo at LAX on Monday (March 9). The “17 Again” star is heading off to Australia to promote his new movie, which arrives in theaters here in the U.S. on April 17th. The Australian premiere is March 11th.

The film is “about a guy whose life didn’t quite turn out how he wanted it to and wishes he could go back to high school and change it. He wakes up one day and is seventeen again and gets the chance to rewrite his life.”

On March 15th, Zac will be appearing on the Australian talk show Rove, along with Russell Brand. When Russell is involved, things always get interesting!

Zac Efron Attends “Watchmen” Premiere

Zac Efron and his lady love Vanessa Hudgens attended the Los Angeles “Watchmen” premiere last night (March 2). The premiere was held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Zac wore his signature beanie and casual attire, while Vanessa looked beautiful and ready for spring in her Rebecca Taylor Spring Blossom romper.

The “17 Again” star is headed to Sydney for the March 11th premiere of his new movie. I wonder if GF Vanessa Hudgens will come with him. My guess is yes! Those two seem inseparable.

Zac Efron Oscars 2009 Arrivals

Zac Efron kept nice and close to girlfriend and “High School Musical” co-star Vanessa Hudgens. Zac has a nice clean look in his black and white tuxedo and Vanessa looks gorgeous in a Marchesa gown as usual!

Ryan Seacrest from E! News asked Zac what his favorite movie was. Zac said, “I can’t choose. It’s really tough.”

Zac and Vanessa, as well as some other heavy hitters, are performing at the Oscars tonight, but the whole thing has been kept under wraps. Ryan tried to get some sort of scoop from Zac and Vanessa, but they didn’t spill any details what-so-ever. When Ryan stared to ask Vanessa about it, Zac leaned over and said “Don’t do it!”. How cute.

We will have to watch the 2009 Oscars to see the performance and find out what this is all about. You can see a rehearsals picture from their performance, as well as their E! interview below.

Zac Efron at Pre-Oscar Party

It was announced the other day that Zac Efron would be presenting an award at the 81st Academy Awards. There’s also a rumor going around that he and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens will be performing up on stage with Hugh Jackman, Beyonce and others. Could it be true? I think we will have to watch the show to find out for sure. It almost sounds too weird to be true!

Zac was spotted last night at a pre-Oscar party, but he was solo as far as I can tell. Other Hollywood hunks that were spotted at the same party were Ricky Martin, Daniel Craig, Chace Crawford, Matthew Broderick and Josh Harnett.

Zac and Vanessa’s Secret Brazil Photoshoot

Zac Efron and GF Vanessa Hudgens were in Brazil over the weekend. I thought that maybe they were there for vacation, and they may be, but they are also working.

With some beefed up security, Zac and Vanessa boarded a boat in Brazil for a photo shoot with Brazil’s top celebrity magazine Caras. The magazine rented the entire island of Angra dos Reis in order to keep the shoot private from paparazzi. Smart move!

Not only did they rent out the island, but they had umbrellas that were constantly being positioned for the utmost privacy. I can not wait to see this super secret magazine shoot!
