In season 2, Kyle continues to be nasty and judgmental, but suddenly Camille is a changed woman. She’s gone from “sexy divorcee temptress” to a penitent, blushing, virginal Housewife. You can see it in the reunion shows, especially part 2 from this past Monday: Camille has herself posed on the couch just so, with every movement carefully choreographed. If she leans too much into one of the fights or tosses out a snide remark, before anyone can go after her, she’s suddenly rearranged herself back into a perky, demure little pose with a matching smile.

On Monday, Andy Cohen took his “James Lipton moment” to ask each of the ladies their favorite curse word. “Let’s start with the queen of the curse,” he said, looking eagerly toward Camille. But she just laughed and offered up the odd response ”poopystink,” which sounds lame even for playground-insult standards.

“Season 2 Camille,” Andy laughed, referring to her transformation. The Housewives teased her on both sides of it: One said, “She’s innocent!” while another took Andy’s side and chimed in, ”Let’s see season 1 Camille’s favorite curse!”

Reality Tea puts it best: It’s a personality transplant, and thank God for Andy to point it out. In the reunion, Camille acknowledged that she’d changed—mostly, she explained, because she wasn’t under the stress of her divorce to Kelsey Grammer like last season. Andy jumped on this, too, asking if she made a calculated effort to seem like less of a bitch after she became the villain of last season.

No, Camille responded, clarifying that she’d been humbled by the divorce and just wanted to stay out of the drama. She pushes the same message in her final season 2 blog on the Bravo site, urging her readers to remember that life is precious. Furthermore, she reminds them that even though the Housewives have their differences, they’ll always support each other:

I just think that women bicker, of course, because we’re not all going to agree on everything, but at the end of the day when we really need to be there for one another, we are. That’s what I like about this group of women, they will support each other.

February 14th is coming up faster than your single friends can say “oh, I didn’t even notice today was Valentine’s Day” and no one is more excited than Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) on 30 Rock.  But it’s not because she’s dating James Marsden this season. Nope, it’s because it’s Anna Howard Shaw Day, Liz’s Valentine’s Day substitute for all the single women out there.

As usual Liz Lemon’s a trailblazer when it comes to carving out alternatives for women — and Valentine’s Day is no exception. In fact Liz’s Valentine’s Days always seems to end up being pretty alternative. On our first ever Anna Howard Shaw day with Liz in 2010, she ended up hallucinating at the dentist’s office, introducing us to Astronaut Mike Dexter and falling in love.

The best part of Anna Howard Shaw Day is that Anna Howard Shaw was a real, live women’s civil right leader born on February 14th. So watching tonight’s hour long 30 Rock  Valentine’s Day episode is basically the same thing as watching a History Channel special. In fact, it might even be the equivalent of getting a bachelors degree in history. But don’t quote me on that.

How will she be celebrating this year now that’s dating someone? We’ll have to to watch to find out.

It’s clear in this MTV News interview that The Hunger Games director Gary Ross was really engaged in the making of this movie. The Pleasantville director faced a lot of challenges in bringing Suzanne Collins‘ dystopian deathmatch to the big screen, especially since the 24 young tributes are battling in a manmade Arena filled with tall trees and steep cliffs, where the weather can shift on a whim.

When asked which scenes required the most attention and detail, he immediately had an example: The tracker jacker scene, when Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), stuck up in a tree, notices a deadly nest hanging over her opponents’ heads.

“That’s a vertical sequence staged over 100 vertical feet,” Ross explained. “You have the Careers below, Katniss on one point of the tree, Rue on another tree, the tracker jackers nest up here. The crew is going up and down this tree all the time, you have all these axes to cut into the final sequence, and CG insects. Not for the faint of heart. I think my shot list for that was 110 set-ups… It was shot practically in trees. None of this was shot in a computer.”

We imagine that “not for the faint of heart” also applies to what the audience’s reactions will be during this scene! In my opinion, the tracker jackers sequence is one of the book’s most disturbing, considering the effect that tracker jacker (genetically-engineered wasps) venom has: Hallucinations, swelling, and disgusting boils.

Not to mention the tributes’ parade before Katniss and the other tributes go into the Arena, with Katniss’ “girl on fire” dress and the spectacle that every district puts on in order to impress the audiences with their representatives.

He did, however, acknowledge that the scenes that took the most attention weren’t the special-effects bonanzas but the ones that required intimacy and nuance—not just from the actors, but the crew, too. As he laughed about the pivotal penultimate scene, ”You get up on the day and go, ‘OK, it’s berry day.’”

(If you don’t get that, I’m not gonna ruin the book’s big twist for you. If you do… hilarious, right?)

A few hours ago I published a story about how Tucker Max attempted to use Sponsored Tweets to gain publicity for his upcoming book. His website implied that he created and published several controversial endorsement tweets that got him banned from using the company’s services. The Internet went wild with the news and a lot of people, including myself,  ran with the story even though it was missing some vital information. Such as the fact that the Tweets on Tucker Max’s site were never approved and published through Sponsored Tweets and he therefore created them via Photoshop.

Not only did those tweets not go live, but there was no way in hell they would have ever made it past Sponsored Tweet’s strict approval process. According to a Sponsored Tweet representative:

“We have several mechanisms in place to catch fraudulent activity before it posts. Most notably for celebrities, the suggested tweet goes to our account team. If it is a viable tweet that aligns with the celebrity, then we forward it to their management team. Once approved by all parties, only then are tweets coordinated through SponsoredTweets.”

What does this mean? Well in my article I said that I think Tucker Max is a douchebag and now more than ever I stand by that statement. But I also have to add that  he’s a brilliant douchebag and I hate him so so much for making me say the word brilliant next to his name. He just tricked the Internet into promoting his own book free of charge.

Let’s break down how he did it:

Step 1 — Create a Sponsored Tweet account and create ridiculously inappropriate tweets designed for celebs to promote.

Step 2 — Get banned for utter ridiculousness before the tweets ever see the light of day.

Step 3 – Discuss being banned from Sponsored Tweets with Forbes Magazine

Step 4 — Follow up Forbes interview with an article on TuckerMax.com with fake tweets

Step 5 — Watch as everyone on the Internet starts blogging and tweeting and sharing the story. For free. Completely for free.

So at the end of the day it doesn’t matter that he got banned from Sponsored Tweets or that his tweets were fake. He got exactly what he wanted: free publicity for his new book. He gamed the Internet, I totally fell for it and I apologize to everyone in the world for contributing to his continued success.

American Idol sweetheart David Archuleta crooned this to millions of teenage fans, and we have to admit, it’s definitely catchy. Unlike other songs on this list which are about someone unattainable, there’s something sweet about the fact that he’s ostensibly singing to a female friend where there is a chance they could be together.

3. “The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s In His Kiss)” – Cher

Does he love me? I wanna know / How can I tell if he loves me so? / Is it in his face? Oh no, that’s just his charms / In his warm embrace? Oh no, that’s just his arms / If you wanna know if he loves you so / It’s in his kiss (that’s where it is)

The reality series that will feature the women of Jersey Shore, most notably Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni ”JWoww” Farley, is expected to start shooting later this month in the Grove Street Path neighborhood of the city. Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy is excited for the opportunity to hopefully promote the the state’s second largest city to not just America but the whole world. Can you imagine if Jersey City became the next major tourist destination?

Despite the mayor’s enthusiasm, City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill has been adamant that the “cast and crew must obey all laws and the production company will be required to hire police to reduce any impact on the public.” I’m sure Jersey City residents just breathed a sigh of relief.

Since Jersey City is kind enough to welcome these two, um, ladies, we thought we’d put together a gallery of places that might be ideal backdrops for the show.

Fox’s medical drama House has officially been cancelled, with a series finale to come in May. Like I said yesterday, the series was showing its age, so it’s ready to go off the air. However, that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t one of the more piercing, wickedly funny, utterly compelling shows out there from 2004 onward. In honor of its passing, I’ve compiled a list of the seven best moments.

Now, I’m biased, because I was a diehard fan up til about season 3; my strongest memories of bizarre medical plotlines and romantic entanglements are from the early seasons. That said, there are some moments from later seasons included. (I grabbed as many videos as I could, but strangely, there aren’t a lot of clips on YouTube, so in some cases I’ve substituted photos.)

“Three Stories”

You need to watch this whole damn episode (1×21), is what it comes down to. House gives a lecture about three cases of leg pain, but over the course of his story and several flashbacks that fans learned to scrutinize for every possible detail, we learn that he’s actually telling the story of his crippled leg. With the episode coming at the end of the first season, it was perfectly timed to begin to delve into this antagonistic character’s deep-seated pain — because of, as we learned, a decision that he never got to make — and addiction.

“It’s Never Lupus!”

Every show needs a running joke—for House, it’s diagnosing every mystery patient with lupus. House himself doesn’t, of course; his team always returns to that idea, despite him telling them that it can’t be. One of the show’s better moments was the first clip from this video, when House reveals that he stashes his drugs in a lupus textbook because… You get the idea. I loved it when the show got this self-aware.

Just thought I’d tell you I’ve been watching you for quite some time now. Since 1984, if we’re going to be honest. Granted at that very, very young age I was unaware of what it meant to be in love, but I did know that something in me sparked whenever you walked on the screen. I’ve yet to find the appropriate word that describes exactly how that spark in me impacted my life and heart.

Since the beginning of this unrequited love affair, I’ve been told by skeptics that it will never happen, that I’m just kidding myself, and that the fact that you are just a character in Sixteen Candles should make me understand just how impossible us being together truly is. Damn the critics, I say! I also would like to point them to a little well-known song called “Take on Me” by A-Ha and the video in which he leaps into the comic book to be with his love. The non-believers can put that in their pipe and smoke it.

Although, from afar, it may look like Sam is the best match for you, you know, since you’re both characters in the same movie, I would like to stress all the ways in which I’m an even better match for you. Please see below.

I’m not 16. Do you have any idea how experienced I am in the sack? OK, not that much, but I’m definitely more experienced than a 16-year-old and could probably give any 17-year-old a run for her money.

I’ve never given my underwear away to a geek named Farmer Ted. Yes, I sold a pair of my undies to some guy on Craigslist who was looking to add to his collection, but it’s not like I just handed them over.

I’m not related to anyone named Long Duck Dong. This actually might be an issue for you after your intimate run-in with him when he fell out of the tree after your party where he accidentally grabbed your nuts, but maybe not having him as family member could be a good thing, too.

My grandparents don’t think you’re a pervert. And I promise, Jake Ryan, no matter what you want to give a try, I’ll never tell them. Sam’s grandparents already pretty much think you’re the devil.

My sister isn’t a bitch. Seriously, my sister is quite sweet and didn’t marry into a third rate mafia family.

I have my license. Sam still takes the bus. FYI. But since I’m sort of an adult, if your car is in the shop, I can come by and pick you up.

My parents never once forgot my birthday, so there’s a good chance that I won’t have any birthday freakouts from emotional damage anytime in the near future. Of course this doesn’t mean I don’t need a happy ending at the end of our movie romance; because I still do, obviously.

I think I have made my case. I’ll be expecting you to step out of the television the next time I pop Sixteen Candles in the DVD player. I’m serious. You really don’t want me trying to climb in there. I’m known to make a scene or two when I don’t get my way.

MOST RECENT UPDATE:  After speaking with SponsoredTweets.com, clearing up their approval process and reflecting on what Tucker Max really did, I’ve written this post explaining how Tucker Max tricked the Internet into promoting his book.

UPDATED: Apparently Tucker Max’s tweets were REJECTED by SponsoredTweets.com before they were even published for ethics violations. In an effort to drum up publicity for his book he created screenshots that looked like real tweets.

Up until just a few minutes ago, I had nothing positive to say about Tucker Max. He’s  misogynistic asshole who’s gotten famous by being a giant dick. However, for the first time ever his douchebaggery did something positive. His Sponsored Tweets book marketing campaign hilariously exposed just how fake celeb’s sponsored tweets really are as well as the lengths they’ll go to make money.

In an effort to do some social media marketing for his upcoming book, Hilarity Ensues, he headed on over to Sponsored Tweets. According to Forbes:  The company offers a surprisingly easy-to-use service “that allows advertisers to pay powerful Twitter users to run promotions for them. The more followers, the more money: Kim Kardashian can run $10,000, Lance Bass is only $133.”

Skipping over the fact that anyone would pay Lance Bass anything to tweet is the fact that you can actually pay for celebrities to say whatever you want them to say. Literally, almost anything you want them to say. Unless of course you’re Tucker Max and you violate their ethics policy and get banned before any celebrity can tweet your endorsement.

In an effort to get publicity for his upcoming book release, Tucker Max attempted to take full advantage of the system. So much advantage in fact that his wildly inappropriate tweets for several celebs got him banned from ever using the service again before any of the tweets were even published.  (Check them all out right here.)

Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian,  P.Diddy,  Kris Jenner,  Snooki,  Nick Cannon,  Tyrese,  Jamie Oliver and the most heartbreaking, Michael Ian Black. (I really thought he was better than that.)

Like, really? You’ll hand over control of your Twitter account to a company that lets anyone with a credit card and an approved tweet endorse things for you. Do you have any concept of  pride or dignity? Do you even read your own Twitter feed?

So why are you still reading? Go get your credit card out and go crazy. It’s not everyday you can make Snooki tell everyone to add you on Pinterest.

Since Demi pulled out of a Jonas Brothers concert tour in 2010 citing exhaustion and personal issues, the main rumor that’s dogged her is an alleged cocaine addiction. In late 2010, RadarOnline claimed that there was a video of Demi snorting coke — following allegations from a fellow partier that she did it “like a pro” — but to the best of our knowledge, no video ever actually surfaced. Regardless, the mental association has stuck: A former child star posted a Reddit AMA a few months back where she claimed that Disney tried to distract from Demi’s coke problem; even though the poster was anonymous, everyone believed her.

The MuchMusic interviewer goes by the same assumptions that we’ve all had, mentioning “cross addictions” and asking if Demi’s drug and alcohol problems led to rehab. What’s strange is that while Demi reiterates that she sought treatment for emotional problems only, she never actually denies having problems with drugs and alcohol:

“It actually wasn’t a part of the diagnosis of why I was in rehab. I was there for — pull up the list — bipolar disorder, anorexia, binge-and-purge, cutting, depression, and trauma—post-traumatic stress disorder. It’s no secret that I’ve come out and talked about experimenting with drugs and alcohol, but I also self-medicated a lot as a teenager. It’s hard not to, especially when you’re growing up in Hollywood and you’re around everything you want. It sounds silly, not that this is rebellious at all, but I was going to Disneyland whenever I wanted to. Being in a city where your’e never told no, it’s really difficult not to be in a place where you don’t fall into the temptation.”

This sound bite hits a lot of the same points that Demi did a year ago, when she was discharged from rehab and did the media circuit. The keywords that have remained? Self-medicating, purging, “drinking and drugs,” “numbing the pain.” As far as I know, she hasn’t yet named those specific drugs. You would think that as an internet-savvy teenager, she would have seen the cocaine rumors and rushed to deny those if they were untrue.

However, the 19-year-old was pretty candid when talking about how all of her drinking — especially partying hard during the manic episodes of her recently-diagnosed manic-depression — has been underage: “I really didn’t care about the law at that point. I was trying to numb my pain, and that’s all that mattered.”

Something still rubs me the wrong way about them not referencing the BlindGossip fiasco at all. I’d call bullshit on the “recent” timing, but Demi’s red hair seems to match these photos from a Seventeen magazine event in early January 2012. The fact that a popular gossip site called her out directly would have been a fascinating angle to cover; it’s disappointing that no one addressed that.
